/ WHAT ARE YOU READING NOW?
Well, listening to. I’ve just started a non-fiction book, The Trauma Cleaner by Sarah Krasnostein on audiobook and I’m completely hooked. It’s blurb:
‘Husband, father, drag queen, sex worker, wife. Sarah Krasnostein’s The Trauma Cleaner is a love letter to an extraordinary ordinary life. In Sandra Pankhurst she discovered a woman capable of taking a lifetime of hostility and transphobic abuse and using it to care for some of society’s most in-need people.’
Sandra’s job is fascinating – she cleans scenes of murders, suicides and homes that have become extremely cluttered or unhygienic – it is a testament to her character that she can do this, and why she does it is what gives this book its heart. She’s remarkable!
/ WHAT HAVE YOU RECENTLY READ?
The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary. This was a case of #BookstagramMadeMeDoIt BUT I’m so, so glad it did! I don’t read a lot of romance books but the story of Tiffy and Leon is so warm and lovely, while covering some serious issues too. They are wonderfully crafted characters and I’m really hoping Beth O’Leary has a sequel in the works. That’s how much I liked them.
/ WHAT WILL YOU READ NEXT?
I think I could be in the mood for an Agatha Christie classic (I’m trying to read one a month this year) – I’ve just finished The Mysterious Affair at Styles (her first Hercule Poirot story) and will be popping my review up of that very soon. Due to that I think another Poirot adventure is next on the TBR. But which one?? So far, I’ve read these books by Agatha, so any other suggestions would be most welcome!

Couldn’t see them on your Christie list (although I may have missed them but I’d recommend The Murder of Roger Ackroyd or The ABC Murders.

Yes, I have read those and agree with, they’re great! I’m thinking seeing as I’ve just finished Poirot’s first story, maybe just read number 2 next and do it chronologically?
