New year, new books! I love looking ahead to all the amazing upcoming 2026 book releases. Here are some titles being published this year that will definitely be going straight on my TBR list. Including lots by authors I love, which makes it even more exciting.
6 2026 Book Releases I Can’t Wait to Read

/ My Husband’s Wife by Alice Feeney
Published: 27th January 2026
In the mood for some mind-blowingly twisty crime? Then Alice Feeney is your author. I’ve actually already read My Husband’s Wife (review coming soon!) and can guarantee it’s the perfect crime thriller to kick your year off with.
/ Witch Trial by Harriet Tyce
Published 26th February 2026
Witch Trail was on my radar anyway but when I saw Harriet pop up on The Traitors, I knew Witch Trial was a must-read. Both because I love Harriet’s books (in the crime genre) but also love when there’s a clash of two worlds like this. I mean, talk about 10/10 marketing.
/ Big Nobody by Alex Kadis
Published 5th March 2026
I know you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover but when that cover looks like a Crunchie chocolate bar, I am going to judge it. In a very positive way. Big Nobody is described as a witty and funny coming-of-age novel. I like this genre, so looking forward to reading.

/ The Truth About Ruby Cooper by Liz Nugent
Published 12th March 2026
Another book I’ve had the pleasure of already reading and The Truth About Ruby Cooper is another Liz Nugent classic. Her signature of essentially unlikeable lead characters is back in play, with a devious plot to keep you hooked until you indeed find out the truth about Ruby Cooper.
/ Almost Life by Kiran Millwood Hargrave
Published 12th March 2026
I haven’t read a book by Kiran Milwood Hargrave in a little while but time to remedy that. Almost Life sounds great, a story of female friendship that’s mix of One Day and Normal People apparently. I’m in.
/ Oyster by Marianne Ackerman
Published 12th March 2026
Ending on something that I think feels a little different. Oyster is a character-led family drama, set in Canada that’s said to have an overall heart-warming feel. Definitely need books with that tone in the mix for 2026.
What do you think? Spotted any on my list you will be reading?
