What I Read in January 2026

First month, done. I have to admit, it’s been a mixed bag. I had every intention of cracking through my TBR but somehow found my mind wandering and my reading pace wasn’t where I thought it was going to be. Maybe this slower pace is my new norm for 2026, one I need to embrace and not stress over. That aside, I did finish three great books in January, details below…

/ Boy Parts by Eliza Clark

/ House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas

My Husband’s Wife by Alice Feeney

Boy Parts was a great way to kick off the year. My first read from Eliza Clark, it was raw, visceral, funny, disturbing and truly unputdownable. I’m definitely reading more from Eliza this year.

Into thriller territory and My Husband’s Wife takes the prize for the most-twisty book I’ve read in a long time. I mean that as a good thing, you will be hooked and sucked into the world of the book, Alice Feeney is just so good at the psychological thriller, another must-read author for me.

Rounding up the month, I delved into a new series from Sarah J. Maas, House of Earth and Blood is book one in the Crescent City series, once again from her signature Romantasy genre. One book in and I can already say I prefer this to ACOTAR. From the characters to the plot and setting, House of Earth and Blood is far more my taste. I’ll be starting book two very soon.

I also like to use January to have a browse at new books being published this year, so I’ve compiled a little list here of some that caught my eye and that I’m really looking forward to reading soon. Let me know if you’ll be reading any of these too!

Until next month, happy reading!
