February Wrap Up / March TBR

I find that if I give myself a set number of books to read per month, then I never hit the target and have a sense of disappointment for not achieving that goal. Over the years, I’ve learnt that I enjoy a far more organic reading process, some months I read 2 books, some months 6 or even more – it doesn’t matter, as long as I enjoyed them. It depends how long each book is of course – a month full of novellas and the read-list is high!

But February was a good month, I found I moved easily from book to book, getting instantly absorbed in each one. So, this month I finished reading:

Like I said, a surprisingly good month! Being in such a good reading groove really makes me anticipate my TBR stack, which for March, currently looks a little like this (again, if they are not all read in March, it matters not):

  • Dubliners by James Joyce
  • We Have Always Live in the Castle by Shirley Jackson
  • The Girls by Emma Cline
  • The Jungle Books by Rudyard Kipling

I’ve started with Dubliners, a set of short stories. It’s nice to dip into these while reading a longer novel alongside, so I’d better get cracking!
