Welcome to WWW Wednesday! Hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words, if you’d like to join in, just answer the three questions below and pop your blog link on Sam’s weekly post in the comments.

So, this week…

What are you currently reading?

The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley. GUYS, this is (so far) v.v.v. good. It is everything I adore in a novel: A murder mystery in an isolated setting, multiple interesting characters who could have done it, all with intriguing back stories and a brilliant writing style with more than a touch of Agatha about it, which I am immensely enjoying! I’m about half way through and cannot stop reading, so just hope that the ending lives up to the high expectation I have…

What did you recently finish reading?

I’m still a little bereft that I’ve finished this one to be honest, Normal People by Sally Rooney was just amazing. It packs an emotional punch while telling the story of Marianne and Connell and their complex relationship. I am in awe of Sally Rooney’s writing style and her ability to describe tiny emotional shifts with such power and heart. I really recommend this one.

What do you think you’ll read next?

The Importance of Being Aisling by Emer McLysaght and Sarah Breen. This is one I picked up on my trip to Dublin earlier this year and it is the sequel to Oh My God, What a Complete Aisling that I read – and loved – earlier this year. It’s a contemporary Irish story about Aisling, a specific type of lovable Irish girl (read my review to find out the details!) If this one if half as funny and endearing as it’s predecessor then I’m in for a treat!

I’d love to know what you’re reading / have just read – let me know!
