What I Read in February 2024

Looking over my monthly read list I’m very pleased with the amount of great books I covered in this short(er) month. And while we’re only a mere two months into the year, I am still on track for both my new podcast reviews and my reading challenge (read the Puffin classics children’s books box set). So let’s see what they were…

My February Book Reviews:

(Click on book title for my full review.)

/ A Love Song for Ricki Wilde by Tia Williams

/ In Memoriam by Alice Winn

/ The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum

/ The Sittaford Mystery by Agatha Christie

/ None of This is True by Lisa Jewell

My reads consisted of one new release and three I’m very pleased to tick off my TBR list. A Love Song for Ricki Wilde was published this month and is such a great story and actually centres around a leap year, a fitting ref today on this, 29th February! It wasn’t what I was expecting at all, in the very best way. Read it and be as wrapped up in Ricki’s world as I was.

The trio of TBRers were an Agatha Christie classic, The Sittaford Mystery (well, I’d never actually heard of it before reading it, but it’s great!), historical fiction In Memoriam which was a beautifully emotional and visceral read – still thinking about it as I write this! Rounding off the set with a brilliant psychological thriller – None of This is True where, yes, you can judge a book by its title – you’re in for a twisty ride with a few unreliable narrators.

My children’s read was The Wizard of Oz – a classic you should absolutely add to your list if you’ve never read it.

As February is the month of love, I shared a relationship-themed podcast, Love Bombed which looks at the growing-scarily-fast issue of relationship fraud. It’s such a fascinating listen.

Until next month, happy reading!
