My 5 most read reviews of 2022

Who doesn’t love a good end-of-year list? Alongside my favourite reads of 2022, I like to also take a look at what people enjoyed reading the most on this blog.

My 5 most read reviews of 2022 focuses on books released this year and it’s a really surprising (in a great way!) mix of amazing novels. Let’s take a look at what you loved…

My 5 most read reviews of 2022

/ Wrong Place Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister

No surprise at Wrong Place Wrong Time taking the top slot. As soon as it was featured as Reese Witherspoon’s book club book of the month in August, views for that humble review went nuts. It’s a truly great book – part time travel, part murder mystery, part family drama and it blends all aspects of its plot perfectly. Featuring action and emotion – this is such a good read!

/ Idol by Louise O’Neill

Glad to see Irish author Louise O’Neill on this list. Idol is a look at the power – good and bad – of social media. We meet a wellness-influencer, Samantha Miller who portrays a version of herself to get rich and a-certain-level of famous. But what’s the real truth lurking behind the social persona? I really enjoyed this one.

/ The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley

Lucy Foley knows how to write a great psychological thriller and this is a high-energy trip around the mysterious goings-on in, yes, a Paris apartment. So twisty. Just go with the flow and you’re in for an entertaining few hours.

/ Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt

So lovely to see Remarkably Bright Creatures on here. A book that I was drawn to due to its cover then hooked by due to one of the narrators being an octopus. Yes, an octopus. But trust me, it works! A truly heart-warming read about people finding their way in life. Perfect for a lazy weekend read.

/ Impossible by Sarah Lotz

This is a nice way to end this compilation: a love story with a sci-fi twist. Again, not a book I thought I would love as much as I did but it was great. Funny, warm and with a unique plot concerning the idea of the multiverse and two worlds colliding.

So there they are, my 5 most read reviews of 2022. Did you read any of these – the reviews or the books? Let me know!
