What I Read in March 2024

For the first time since I started this little blog around 8 (!!) years ago, this month is the first one I haven’t had any blog posts ready to go. Life just got in the way and I had no time to sit down and write up my reviews, so the last few weeks have been a bit bare!

I have been reading in the background though and fully intent to dedicating a Sunday soon to catching up on my review backlog, expect to see many more reviews live in April…

March reviews books on the 747

My March Book Reviews:

(Click on book title for my full review.)

/ Keanu Reeves is Not in Love With You by Becky Holmes

/ Dominoes by Phoebe McIntosh

/ The Liar’s Girl by Catherine Ryan Howard

/ Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

/ One Good Turn by Kate Atkinson

Looking back, I may have felt like I didn’t read a lot, but there is an strong mix in the above list. OK, I did actually read The Liar’s Girl at Christmastime, but only got round to posting the review in March – I’m taking it though! And what a brilliant read it was, I’m loving all of Catherine Ryan Howard’s books and will definitely be going through her back-catalogue.

I also ticked another Kate Atkinson book off my list – One Good Turn is the second in the Jackson Brodie series and I really enjoyed that too. Dominoes is a great new 2024 release that looks at race and identity and for my non-fiction choice, I went with the amazingly titled Keanu Reeves is Not in Love With You – a deep dive into the murky world of online romance fraud. It was quite a heart-breaking read in places, when women told their stories about how they had been conned out of their life savings.

Lastly, I did keep up my reading the Puffin classics challenge and re-read, as had enjoyed this one as a child, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. It’s my favourite of the classics I’ve read so far.

Until next month, happy reading!
